Bunny Vas Opens Up On Industry Slump

Currently, there is a clash between Telangana exhibitors and top producers over revenue sharing. Exhibitors want a percentage-based model, but producers are not in favor.

Amid this issue, Bunny Vas explained why theatre revenues are falling. He said big movies are collecting high amounts mainly due to increased ticket prices, not because of more audience footfall.

This puts extra pressure on the limited number of viewers still visiting theatres, while small films are struggling more.

Bunny Vas stated that both producers and exhibitors are facing losses. He pointed out key reasons like long gaps between heroes films, quick OTT releases, weak content and high food prices in multiplexes.

He believes Tollywood should focus on solving these problems instead of arguing over already low revenues.
